If you’re migrating emails over from your previous host to LS25 then you’ll need to submit a request to our support team, who’ll be happy to do this for you. The emails and folder structure will be copied across via IMAP.
Setting up mailboxes
To make the process easier, it’s best if you create a mailbox within the LS25 control panel for each mailbox that will be transferred across. It’s useful if you use the same password as it currently uses with your previous host.
Contacting support
You can then raise a support ticket and request that our support team migrate the emails across from the old server to the newly created mailboxes within your LS25 account. We’d then need the following information:
Email Address(es)
Password(s)
The IP address or host name of the mailserver being used by the old host
The migration time will vary depending on the size of the mailbox, but typically is less than an hour. You’d then be able to update the DNS to point to LS25 if you haven’t done so already.
